Acceptance of these terms

By accessing our website, submitting information, or using our SMS/MMS automation service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the applicable service.

Description of the service

The Light Guys provides information about lighting, audio, video, holiday, and event services; accepts project inquiries; and communicates with customers and authorized users. Our SMS/MMS automation service can receive text, photos, and instructions, process that content using automated systems and AI services, generate social-media drafts, request approval, and provide confirmations or status updates.

Website content and automated drafts are informational and do not create a project agreement, guarantee availability, or replace a written proposal or service agreement.

Authorized and prohibited uses

You may use the website and messaging service only for lawful purposes and as authorized by The Light Guys.

You may not:

• Submit content that is unlawful, deceptive, threatening, infringing, or that violates another person’s privacy or publicity rights.
• Upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service operation, or evade security controls.
• Impersonate another person, misrepresent authorization, or use another person’s phone number without permission.
• Use automated outputs to mislead others, violate platform rules, or publish content you do not have the right to use.
• Use the service for unsolicited marketing, spam, or any purpose outside the approved business workflow.

User-submitted photos and content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give The Light Guys a limited, nonexclusive permission to receive, copy, store, analyze, modify, format, transmit, and otherwise process that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service you requested.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit the content and to authorize this processing. You are responsible for avoiding unnecessary sensitive information and for obtaining any permissions needed for people, private property, trademarks, music, or other protected material appearing in submitted content.

AI-generated content

Automated and AI-generated captions, photo selections, summaries, and other outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. When appropriate, you should review and approve generated content before it is scheduled, published, or otherwise used. You remain responsible for the content you choose to approve or publish.

Intellectual property

The website, its design, branding, text, graphics, and other materials supplied by The Light Guys are owned by or licensed to The Light Guys and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of our materials or branding to you.

Third-party services and integrations

The website and automation service may rely on third-party messaging, hosting, cloud storage, security, analytics, AI processing, and social-media scheduling or publishing services. Those providers may have separate terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for a third-party service outside our control, including its availability, platform rules, or processing decisions.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the website or automation service at any time. We may also limit or end access when needed for security, maintenance, legal compliance, misuse prevention, or changes to our business. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the website and automation service are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free output, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, The Light Guys will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or automation service, including lost content, lost profits, publication errors, or third-party platform actions. Our total liability for a claim relating only to the website or automation service will not exceed the amount, if any, you paid specifically for that service during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim.
